1st Bookham Oak Cub Pack who collected food and household cleaning items from our Spring Appeal list to donate at the recent talk given by Mike Berwick. Set a target of £60 worth of goods, they blew the top off of their totaliser and handed over more than 130 items with a combined value of more than double their target! The donation even included three washing up bowls, in fact everything but the kitchen sink.
Shannon Parker and her dedicated friends for organising another fundraising event at her local village hall. Despite the fact that her local press got the dates wrong, and so she didnt get the advertising she wanted, they still managed to raise over £100!! Shannon you are a star!!
Dedicated supporter Philippa who recently brought in a donation of £215 and says this about why... "For my 16th birthday, I asked my friends to donate some money instead of giving me presents that wouldn't really mean anything. They were very generous as I raised £215 which I decided to give to Wildlife Aid. This was not the first time however because I had done the same thing for my 13th. I decided to give the money collected from both birthdays to Wildlife Aid because I love animals, and so I really admire their hard work throughout the year to help injured, ill and orphaned wild animals in and around Surrey."
The quiz night organised by Walton and Weybridge Amateur Operatic Society was won by a very intelligent (and surprised) team of people who very kindly donated their winnings to Wildlife Aid. Thank go to volunteer Ashley Jones and his team-mates Quentin, Danny, Natalie, Janet, Mark & the two Jennys for thinking of us, even through their winning euphoria!!
Cheryl Wilde, Ginny Williams, Jenny Webb, Lynn Anderson and Val Eckett for their fundraising efforts at the Woodley Pagoda. An amazing sum of £250 was raised despite what sounds like some rather inclement weather conditions!!
Pet Doctors in East Horsley for their amazing donation of 35 cans of dog food plus big bags of dog biscuits. It's going to be very very helpful!!
