Watch our live webcams

Our webcams show a variety of the patients we are currently caring for at the centre, giving you a real time view of how they spend their days and the ability to watch these animals.

If you see anything interesting on the webcams please let us know by sending us a message with the camera number and a time and we will review the footage which could be used in a future video or social media post!

For those of you who were watching our two magpie’s, they have now been released!

Tawny Owl

This Tawny Owl came into the centre in very bad condition after a suspected RTC. A full examination showed blood in the eye and a dislocated toe, whilst an X-ray revealed that this beautiful bird had a broken humerus in its left wing, and two fractures to the clavicle & coracoid (bone structures in the chest).

So far, the veterinary team have performed orthopaedic surgery on the wing to hold the bones in place whilst they heal. It will be a long road to recovery for this brave little owl, as surgery to remove the eye is inevitable once the broken bones have healed! It’s proven that owls can hunt and survive in the wild with only one eye.

Blue tit

We have a visitor in one of our nest boxes!

As the weather is slowly starting to cool, we’ve noticed a bluetit frequently visiting one of our empty nest boxes, to seek shelter from the elements.

Keep your eyes peeled!

Collard Dove

Collard Doves are a frequent visitor here at the centre, this little one was unfortunately caught by a cat.

It had a wound on the neck which required a week of cleaning and antibiotics, and has now completely healed!

Luckily, this beautiful bird is now well enough to stay in one of our larger enclosures that will enable it to stretch its wings before being able to go back to the wild.
