WILDLIFE
CONSERVATION SOCIETY
Wildlife Aid - A British Wildlife Conservation
Society
| Wildlife Aid are a wildlife conservation society
dedicated to redressing the balance between man and nature.
Through history, we have seen how vital this is. The impact
of losing one species can have devastating effects on the whole
ecosystem and may have long term effects that, as yet, we still
do not fully understand. Whilst many wildlife conservation
society's continue to concentrate on particular species,
at Wildlife Aid we will not turn away any wild animal which
needs our help. |
| Education for the future |
| Education plays an important role in any wildlife
conservation society. Through schools, presentations,
our website, or any other means of communication we have access
to, we help future generations understand and learn about the
environmental issues that affect us all, and the ways in which
wildlife conservation society's can help secure
the future of British wildlife. |
| Helping wildlife for the present |
| We carry out rescue work in the same way as other widllife
conservation society's - treating and rehabilitating
sick and injured wild animals. Every animal that is capable
of surviving is returned to it's native environment. Unlike
other wildlife conservations society's however,
we do not believe it is right to keep a wild animal in captivity.
If an animal has such sever injuries that they will never be
able to return to the wild, we will give them the dignity of
a pain free death in a warm and comfortable environment. |
| Helping others to help wildlife
|
| As a respected wildlife conservation society
and a centre of excellence, we receive many phone calls letters
and emails from vets, schools, members of the public and other
charities and organisations. We are always available to offer
what help and support we can.
We provide work experience for students from across the country
and liaise regularly with agricultural and training establishments
on the content of the wildlife section of veterinary courses.
Whatever the problem, if it concerns British wildlife,
we are a
wildlife conservation society that will find the answer. |
