As the years have passed, the ability of our vet team has grown and we are now able to fix things that would not have been possible several years ago. Orthopaedic surgery is now one of our specialties and we are able to give so many more animals a second chance at life in the wild.
This hedgehog was brought in to us after a local couple spotted her struggling to walk in their garden. They rushed her in to see us where our vet team found a fracture on one of her legs.
Luckily, Maru, our lead vet, is a skilled orthopaedic surgeon and, after a complex operation, she was able to have the hedgehog back on all four legs in no time!
