Open Day 2020 – CANCELLED

We are very sad to announce that we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Open Day.  We are looking into alternative options, but the traditional day will be back bigger and better in 2021!

The Wildlife Aid Foundation is pleased to announce that our annual Open Day will be held on Sunday 5th July.

Open Day is our biggest fundraising event of the year and we hope this year will be bigger and better than ever before!

The day provides a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at one of the UK’s leading wildlife hospitals.  You will also get to meet some of our volunteers and talk to them about their experiences of looking after sick and injured wildlife.

It also gives us the chance to thank everyone that has supported us over the past year, and hopefully meet some new supporters who will help us with our valuable work.

Admission to Open Day is £4 for adults and £2 for children (under 5’s go in free).  Parking is available in the field on Springfield Drive next to the hospital, kindly donated for the day by KBR Leatherhead.  For those on foot, we are just a short walk from Leatherhead Town centre & train station.

We would respectfully request that visitors do not park in the crematorium; there will be many people visiting their loved ones who have passed away and spending quiet time, so parking will be required for their cars.

The day runs from 10 am until 5pm with the last admission to the car park at 4pm.

Tickets for Hospital Tours are available to buy online and on the day on a first-come, first-served basis.  Tours start at 10.10am and at then at 10 minute intervals throughout the day, with the last tour at 4.20pm.  See section ‘Booking Tickets’ below for more details.

Fun & Games

Our founder, Simon Cowell, very kindly gives us his garden for the day, so that we can offer a fun and entertaining day for all the family.  With stalls and activities for young and old alike, you can enjoy local arts & crafts, photography and much more.  From learning how to make bird feeders to buying beautiful artwork – there are plenty of activities for children and adults alike!

There will be plenty to eat and drink too, with a vegan hog roast, twisted chip van , bar, tea and coffee, ice creams and stalls selling cakes, biscuits, jams and preserves…you won’t go hungry!Booking tickets
