Having been lured to Box Hill School with the promise of marzipan cake and an all female audience, Simon gave The Box Hill Dames a thoroughly enjoyable and engaging talk.
He led us through a journey from the birth of The Wildlife Aid Foundation, to the present day and the future. Simon introduced us to ‘idot,’ an educational initiative designed to show we can all make a difference. He also spoke about Wildlife Aid’s latest project; a state of the art wildlife hospital and wetland centre.
The ladies were moved to tears and laughter by Simon’s stories, which were beautifully illustrated by photos taken by Lawrie. The dynamic duo travel high and low, rescuing animals from dangerous and difficult situations.
After an extensive Q&A session, the Dames were sorry the talk had come to an end, as they could have listened to Simon all evening. We came away inspired and better informed as to the importance of looking after our wildlife and our environment.
