Tiny ducklings rescued from Chelsea footballers home!

With World Cup fever gripping the Nation, WAF managed to hit the back of the net in spectualar style when we were called to the home of former Chelsea striker and manager, Gianluca Vialli, to rescue a family of ducks.

Rescuers Simon and Josh raced to Chelsea after several other organisations turned down the rescue. A mother and eight ducklings had found their way onto the first-floor terrace of the home of the 1996 FA Cup winner and refused to budge. Using a method we have honed over several years, our rescuers skilfully manoeuvred the mother duck and her chicks into a carefully placed keep net.

Team captain Simon Cowell said: “It was tense first half, but once the first one went in the net, the rest followed easily.”

The duckling and their mother were relocated safely to a pond in Surrey and are currently settling in very well!
