Rescue

Please welcome our first young tawny owl of the year!

Found in the middle of a path between two rivers on a particularly windy day, it was quite the surprise for the member of the public who found it! Luckily, they gave a precise location and, once the owl was safe and warm, two of our team set out to try and find the nest...

Rehabilitation

Unfortunately, despite the considerable effort of Jacob (from our maintenance team) and Phoebe (one of our vet students), only the remains of a nest could be found and the decision was made to bring it into our care. This little guy is only the first of many young tawny owls we will care for this year, but he has a lot of growing to do yet!
