Rescue

Well... please welcome our first orphaned fox cub of the year!

Although the first one we saw this year was able to be returned to mum, this poor male wasn't quite so lucky. Found alone in a garden, he had gone for several hours without any sign of parental support and the decision was soon made to bring him into care.

Rehabilitation

Cold and dehydrated, he was gently warmed up before being transferred to our very own mother fox, Alannah (our Hospital Manager) for care. Whilst it is sad that he cannot be with his own family, he will now form the start of one of our many orphan groups and will be released back to the wild later in the year.
