Rescue

very life matters here at Wildlife Aid and if there is any way to get an injured animal back to the wild, we will do all we can to make it happen.

This fox arrived with us after being found struggling to walk. Whilst she was skinny, dehydrated and had several minor injuries to her rump, the main reason behind her struggles was much more serious - she had an open fracture to one toe.

Rehabilitation

Determined to help her walk again, our vet team decided to operate and Meriem set to work amputating the toe (luckily, foxes are able to survive in the wild like this). Amazingly, the operation was a complete success and she is now well on the road to recovery!
