Helpless pigeon battered by kids!

Rescue

This poor pigeon had a very lucky escape...After accidentally flying into a shopping centre, it was set upon by a small group of kids who repeatedly kicked and hit it. It was only thanks to the intervention of a member of the public that the poor bird was rescued and rushed into our care.

Rehabilitation

Amazingly, although bruised and clearly in shock, the bird had avoided injury and, with a little food, rest and care, made great progress. Now in one of our aviaries, it won't be long before it can finally taste freedom once more.
