Rescue
Sadly, more than 98% of our cases are directly or indirectly caused by the actions of Man, and this young mute swan’s is no exception...
Rescued from a pond in Dorking, the bird was found with a strange lump in its throat that our vet team found to be a mixture of food and fishing line.

Rehabilitation
Luckily, the blockage was soon removed and, after a brief period of monitoring to ensure all was well, the youngster was successfully released into a juvenile colony.

Release
Whilst this cygnet was one of the lucky ones, litter causes huge issues for wild animals around the world. Please, take it home with you!
