Rescue

Tawny owl chick no.3 has arrived!

Being the smallest of our chicks so far, it was transferred into our care after being found on the ground. Still far too small to be 'branching', it was picked up by a member of the public and brought into the centre. Although Pat, one of our rescuers, found a promising nest location, the poor owlet wasn't quite up to full health and a faecal exam found a heavy parasite burden, which we are now treating. We hope the youngster will be able to join our other owlets, before too long!
