Daubenton's bats are not the most common species of bat that we see here at Wildlife Aid. This particular female was found behind a toilet, whilst giving birth!
It was incredibly sad to discover that the youngster hadn't survived the journey in to us and that their founder had left before giving us any details of the initial location.
Returning any bat back to where it was found is incredibly important and without these details the Surrey Bat Rescue team had quite a job on their hands.
