Welcome to Wildlife Aid

Wildlife Aid, as seen on TV’s ‘Wildlife SOS’, is one of the UK’s largest wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and release centres. The charity, having been founded in 1980 by Simon Cowell MBE, is now the only remaining organisation of its kind in Surrey. Dealing with in excess of 20,000 wildlife incidents each year, the centre is open to receive wildlife casualties around the clock, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Wildlife Aid (apart from its annual Open Day) is NOT open to the public. This is due to the fact that all of the creatures in the hospital’s care are not only sick or injured, but WILD animals. For our patients to have the best possible chance at a successful release back into the wild, we must ensure that they do not become stressed or imprinted in any way, thus human contact must be kept to an absolute minimum.

However, there are very many ways of becoming more involved with the work of Wildlife Aid, all of which are featured on this site, along with fascinating features, articles, LIVE Cub-cams!! and much, much more…..

The Wildlife Aid Grand Raffle 2008

The Wildlife Aid Grand Raffle 2008 was drawn on Tuesday, and the winners are as follows:

1st Prize - Miss C. Shipp (Reading) who wins a luxury weekend Bed & Breakfast courtesy of Browns of Mayfair

2nd Prize - The Hunka Family (Walton-On-Thames) who win a £500.00 Red Letter Day

3rd Prize - won by Natasha Callow who has very generously donated her prize back to Wildlife Aid.

The raffle raised a staggering £10,200 for Wildlife Aid - a figure made even more amazing after the unfortunate mix up with the draw date printed on the ticket.  The proceeds of the raffle will go directly into the centre's core funding, which, as ever, is in desperate need of topping up!!

Many thanks to every member who bought raffle tickets themselves, and sold them to friends, family and colleagues.  A special thanks must go to Wildlife Aid volunteer Adam McLaren who sold a remarkable 244 tickets!
